Man, I’m really feeling unwell today. I don’t know why. It’s not like I’ve been around anyone. I didn’t sleep right. I had a dream that they took away all the normal shopping carts and were trying to make everyone order things online then come pick them up at the stores. It was weird. I don’t usually remember my dreams but I’m having trouble with my sleeping arrangements.
I’m in a foul mood for many reasons. Not least of which is the vague sick feeling. There’s nothing for it though. I can’t change anything on my own. At best I guess I can continue cleaning my room and at least improve the things I do have some direct control over. The only way to move a mountain is one scoop at a time.
If you want to help me buy more shovels please check out the links above. Patreon, Subscribestar, that sort of thing. I can’t seem to get fiver to function for some reason, but whatever. I kind of wish I could just use a bank… Anyway, I’ll see you when I see you. Keep your stick on the ice.

Hi, im not really sure where else I could post this. Thought about writing something on the patreon but not sure if anyone would see it, didnt think of it until now. I really like that none of the characters wear any jewelry or have ever as far I know. Ive never seen them wear anything like rings, necklaces, earrings, nothing and I love it. Ive never been a big fan of it and I really appreciate it!
Hope you feel better soon.
…this exact same comment was seen over at Shotgun Shuffle and is the single weirdest flex I think I’ve ever seen.
Its just a preference, nothing really that weird…
Do glasses that characters constantly look over count as jewelry? Because they are hardly medical devices if they aren’t being used.
It can be a fashion accessory, but nothing I would really consider an adornment in the way of jewelry.
Jackie, this isn’t the first time I’ve said this: I’m really sorry you’ve not been feeling well.
It’s probably scant consolation, but the break from the main story line into this mini-adventure and collection of vignettes has been fun.
That dream sounds more like a premonition of things to come, bud.
Hope you can sleep better soon.
Dreams get weird sometimes. Especially if you have limited contact with the outside world. I remember a dream which was just people screaming unintelligibly at me. They were CLEARLY SCREAMING. It was shockingly loud and almost violent. But it was all utter gibberish.
“Keep your stick on the ice.”
Huwhaaaaa, Uncle Red.
I’ve always felt that the Red Green Show was more of a man-show (in that it represents what men think and do) than the erstwhile Man Show.
…meanwhile, as for the comic itself, the concept of “stinking good” does elude me somewhat. But last I knew, the ladies do have a somewhat different sense of smell. So I can at least make a few inferences.
I dated a girl several decades ago who was into that. Not the dirty laundry smell or the funk of someone who doesn’t bathe. She liked the smell when I had been doing something physical and had sweated a bit. She would actually snort my t-shirt.
You ever see Porky’s? There’s a woman in it that she gets crazy horny in the men’s locker room as she snorts their jocks and sweaty socks. It also happens a lot in anime. As my wife has remarked to me, it’s not that extreme for most women, it’s a light scent thing. She said the fact that those movies go to the extreme is just proof that men don’t understand it at all, and wish women would act that way. LOL
Since all of you all want to know, this role was played by Kim Cattrall, who also was the hot aspirant cop love interest in Police Academy as well as the super-horny one in the Sex and the City quartet.
(The hardass cop with sunglasses was Leslie Easterbrock.)
Hahahaha, thanks for that info!
Read a study about it once; it only really works when it’s fresh. As far as they can tell, the exact chemical in the sweat that many women like breaks down on contact with air after like 30 minutes or something–then it gets rank and the women don’t like it anymore. And then sometimes women like to smell a shirt or something that their significant other wore, but that’s more of a comfort thing, since smell is strongly connected with memory (hence why the smell of books reminds me of my grandmother). I don’t think Jessie’s assertion is correct, though.
I should also note that anime seems to do the opposite as well, at least with men sniffing lady’s undergarments. Ugh.
I think sniffing things in anime/manga/manhwa has gotten out of hand lately.
Now… I will happily admit to following an unhealthy amount of Shitsekai and other assorted manga, but I must say I’ve never noticed the Smell thing..
Characters turning into “food critics” over simple rice, yes… Can’t blame them for trying to ride the Shokugeki no Souma coat-tails along with a bit of healthy chauvinism.
But smell? You need to be in some very distinct sections of manga for that.. One meant for adults, the other very much not.
Feel better soon Jackie. Also, hope your strange dream wasn’t a premonition, cause, for all we know, maybe…..
Lol, it’s not hard to imagine Retired Ed telling the kids to get off his lawn.
“Stop YIFFING on my lawn, you darn furries!”
