And so we enter spooky month. I don’t really have anything of value to add to this page other than it is basically a joke I scrapped earlier in the scene and decided I’d keep letting it play out and put it in here because it worked and I was too tired to figure out anything with other characters. I wrote it back in and then thought of the page for Monday, or most of it, on the heels of this premise. These two will be capable of incredible levels of harmless stupidity over time.
Anyway, I’m worn out to the point that I need to rest just a bit, or maybe eat a little something. I hope you have a nice weekend. I’ll be back on Monday with more of these two goobers. Until then, hubba bubba bubble gum.

Need to stop bringing up your big good strong hands rockbiter.
I suspect Rocks aren’t the only things he wishes he was biting.
I love the red ears when they get embarrassed. Nice touch.
This reminded me about something I sometimes wondered about: Do black people visibly blush? Like, is it visible against their darker skin?
(There aren’t many black people in my country, and even if I met any, asking them directly would probably be awkward and/or a bad idea, better to ask in the relative anonymity of the Internet. ;) )
The physical results happen in all humans but the visual change can be harder to detect depending on skin color. That said, even the absolute darkest skin will change color depending on physical status. The change while blushing can be virtually undetectable though.
I know they (physical results) do, that’s why I specififed “visibly”.
Thanks for the reply. :)
According to my ex, I do blush, but I just don’t see it.
Have you tried using a mirror? (Sorry, you kind of walked into it. ;) )
me lads, I hope this ship sets sail eventually
Should Jo and Patricia be jealous?
Only if they’re not brought into the games.
So Jess is looking to have Jo, Thomas, Carol, Mike, Patricia, and Evrina…. and maybe Nina as well.
They say to dream big, but she might want to scale this idea down a little.
Jo is also looking to have them, so…
I still think Jo is ninja-ing behind the soda fountain watching the whole show with a camera and a bag of popcorn ?
I don’t remember if Mike showed up when Jo was having thoughts about people she knows attached to hearts.
Anyone wanna direct me to that page so we can see?
Is Mike’s blushing new? I don’t remember if Rulette’s made him blush.
To be fair, Alex didn’t make John visibly blush and he still fell for her.
For some reason I assumed he was pan. Not kinsey scale pan, more like happy for attention pan.
I haven’t seen her little movie but mouse for awhile. Are they adding a 3rd?
Third panel: oh right, they’re twins.
Don’t do this.
Don’t give me hope.
Welp I’ve caught back up.
And now we play the waiting game.
BTW, i love how the art has evolved over the years, its been a great read.
honestly I prefer the original style in black and white. Gave a whole clerks the webcomic kinda vibe that was fantastic.
The art is objectively better now and I still love it. But there’s a lot to be said about the raw less polished version. I think Jackie is a little hard on himself due to people complaining that it’s not Jean-Léon Gérôme. his style has always been great for the format.
Whilst I don’t share your opinion on the black and white being preferable I cannot express how much I love the effort he puts into this comic. I echo that he’s too hard on himself (particularly when it comes to quality) and would gladly fight anyone who attempts to put him down in terms of passion for the craft
It’s definitely a preference thing. but the less polished style made Thomas’s sideburns iconic.
The stuff he puts out now is technically better, but it was always good, maybe even great, for the format.
And while I prefer the original black and white. The transition to color moment was absolutely epic. So it makes sense that we stay in color past that point, at least as long as there’s still color in Thomas’s life.
Line ‘Em Up, Knock ‘Em Down; these past few have been a a great laugh, thanks Jackie!
