I think their definitions of fun don’t always intersect.
I’ve got stuff I need to do so I can’t sit here for an hour trying to think of what’s going on. So I’ll wish you a nice midweek and remind you that I’ll be back on Friday as always. Until then, black Betty bambalam.

First!XD As enthralling as pat’s banter (and bounce) is, as well as seeing Thomas dealing with all his fluster, (truly wonderous spectales both) I find myself sincerely hoping they can mediate this rift primarily because, I find it a waste, as brilliant as they both are, for them to be at odds with each other.
I think the comic number is wrong, it should be 3025.
One’s idea of fun can vary wildly based on how often one has to deal with the consequences of said fun.
And when you’ve got two big “get out of jail free” cards…
“My making fun of John, with my romantic banter, isn’t random strife! It’s just my clever, flirty ribbing.”-said Thomas, never.
Ahhhh, a mirror of mine own actions!
Hee, hee, hee!

Well THAT didn’t work
Hm. I’m just curious. Were you trying to put some emoticons in that comment?
I just think it would be fun to hear, what you were attempting to write there, :D
lol good point! I do think John plays back at least though, where I doubt Thomas ever did with Rulette, especially back in the day with their age difference
Thanks. :)
I wonder if John’s + Thomas’s “flirting”, like a friendly bantering, or something. :)
Alex did posit that Patty might have had a corruptive influence on him in his formative years
Interesting idea! :)
I wonder if Carol + Thomas will get into Patty’s geeky interests. :)
So I take it, she flirted a lot and the guys took it to mean she was interested and she either was with all she flirted with or not at all but loved to flirt and it broke up the group?
Was she the Yoko? :o
As someone who definitely would have misinterpreted if a woman like Rulette flirted with me when I was a teen, I feel for Thomas here.
I get you on that. I would have either totally missed it or interpreted it as more than it was.
There’s also the issue that if the guy thinks you’re cute, they might think you’re flirting anyway, especially if you’re smiling. And in customer service, the smile becomes so automatic, it’s hard to notice if you’re doing it anymore (in my experience anyway).
Combined with a flirty personality, it’s rough.
For a guy not super psyched about flirting, that is a LONG wonk, Tommy.
Well at least the blush is lessening, so back on more solid conversational footing; digging the peaks at backstory.
But unless there’s more past reveals to come, Thomas and John never had a fling.
Flirty bantering with someone you’ve had a thing with, especially when one party is attached elsewhere (very much so for Thomas), is a very different case.
Woah-oh black Betty, bambalam!
I mean, if we’re going to bring up different definitions of fun, the Marquis de Sade had a different definition than his victims did.
Black Bettybhad a child!
