Let’s see… What should I update you about? Mom is doing fine. The processes are ongoing but she can be up and about pretty safely now and recharge with occasional naps. I’ll keep you posted.

What else? I haven’t really done anything except stuff with mom and my usual duties. A bunch of ASMR people got kicked off of youtube, including a couple I actually liked. It’s a shame that Youtube does these life altering thing out of the blue and then refuses to listen or explain anything. It’s also a shame that no viable alternatives exist to keep them humble. A functional monopoly isn’t much better than an actual one really… Anyway, it is what it is and no one has sense enough to band together to do anything about it, so I guess it’ll keep being what it is.

I ordered the physical version of Splatoon Raiders, even though I don’t own a Switch 2. Physical copies on Switch 2 are basically pointless now, but I still feel compelled to buy them instead of digital copies. If nothing else I can hold the useless card and say “I own this at least.” I bought it so that at some point, if they ever release a special edition Switch 2 I can buy that one maybe instead of a regular one. I’ll already have the only game I want right now when it happens and hopefully other games will come along later? I’m sort of interested in that Donkey Kong game at least. If they have a decent sale on regular Switch 2s I may break down and try to get one then, but I guess we’ll see.

I can’t think of anything else worth bothering you with so I guess I’ll wish you a nice start to the week. I’ll be back on Wednesday as usual with more of this. Until then, properly dispose of batteries.

I’m waiting on a limited edition as well, hoping for a LoZ one. I hate where Nintendo is going, but i also dont want to miss out on my favorite game series because the company that made it is doing some shit things. It’s a struggle. If I had any hope left in the company, I’d probably still buy a regular one, but i have little hope in a grand majority of humanity, so having hope that a soulless company has some integrity is a lost cause.

Reverse compatibility has always been the golden goose that every platform has scoffed at since ps3 blew it for everybody even though I truly believe it was Nintendos fault from the beginning for being the greedy bloodsuckers that stiffeled the industry for over a decade before their stranglehold on programmers was broken…of course we were all too young back then to realize the despicable things adults were up to and the availability of information was quite limited…still…I do hold out hope for Xbox to live up to the physical-to-digital offer that was recently announced…not holding my breath but hey…my crates of atari, NES, genesis, SNES, PS 1,2,3, M.A.M.E. , XBOX , 360, Xbox one, pre- and post- windows XP stuff has never failed me in the event that I decide the industry is just not worthy of the money I have sweat and bled for just for me to not join the folks at the cemetery…even though I think some of my son’s friends might still be convinced I’m some kind of undead…

Patty is seriously striking out on this little compliment fishing trip she has strung Thomas along through…I get the feeling, from the way he is completely immune to her never weary-ing barrage, that this might not be the first time Patty’s pulled this same game on him…although it feels ironic that just a few feet away mike would probably stroke her ego to her hearts content if she had pointed her peeper’s his way…

We are a hair away from understanding why they fell out. Rulette is trying to figure out what went wrong. I’m hoping their rapport continues, I really want to see where this goes.

I’m curious what Rulette’s unrepentant flirting looked like. From what us readers have seen there was a little when Mike and Ed first went to her store, but she’s saved all the best stuff for “Biggie”, and the latter has certainly been effective.

While we’re talking about cast flirts, if Rulette is “unrepentant”, what does that make Jessica?

Jessica actually tells you very clearly that her flirting is serious. It’s more like propositioning with her. Most of the time when she is acting flirty she says what she wants in no uncertain terms.

Ah. As a guy who likely has spent more than his share of time not knowing I’m being flirted with, I understand how I didn’t see the difference.

Probably difficult given that it’s against policy. Because the follow up will be “who is it?”

A. It’s not against policy to have a girlfriend. So saying that he does to get her to stop flirting doesn’t violate anything. He doesn’t have to tell her anything beyond that, even if she does ask.
B. After the episode in the old hotel, she should suspect he has a girlfriend, and knows who it is already. It was pretty obvious to all but the painfully clueless.
C. She doesn’t work for the company, so policy is largely irrelevant.

If she wants to mend the rift between them, she’ll respect the fact that he has a girlfriend. Which, at the moment, she isn’t.
