Since I’m uploading a bit late I guess I’ll just remind everyone that you can support my efforts with the links above. See you Wednesday. Don’t let the bastards grind you down.

wait, that was all according to keikaku?
It would certainly say more about his character, given he hired him while his world was still black and white.
T.L.: keikaku means plan
Here we see Thomas, reinforcing the misconception of the perfect schemer, of plans within plans. He is enough of a schemer to allow attribution of credit for things way beyond his control (though he certainly wouldn’t openly claim it), leaving people guessing what he *can’t* do.
Sun-Tzu would be porud of our boy
Thomas letting us think he did this, all before the timeliness of the strip began. Even before he got together with Carol (although I can believe the was a when, no if, thing).
(Timeline. Yeah, autocorrect.)
Illegitimi Non Carborundum was the motto of the submarine I served on.
“Illegitimi Non Carborundum”.
Is that faux-Latin for: “Don’t let the bastards grind you down”?
I played a White Wolf / Vampire game where our motto was
“Non gratis anus rodentum”
Gangrel oddly enough :)
*snickers*
I think I know that motto, since I like military history.
I think that’s a motto that was used by the US Army’s, tunnel rats units.
Is that Latin for: “[We] don’t give a RAT’S &ss?”
(Hee, hee, hee!)
:)
Well, tunnel rats was a fairly accurate description, yes :)
Hee hee! :)
Matchmaker matchmaker bring me a match.
Make her the cutest that I’ve ever matched
I really like this interaction, and how this scene ended. It says a lot about their friendship without needing to use any words to directly state anything. Feels very true to life in a way I don’t think I’d ever seen in any form of media before, or at least not as well-executed as this. The last two panels in particular make Nina and Thomas seem so real.
This is the kind of stuff I come here for, Jackie. You have this knack to create scenes so filled with humanity, it’s a real joy to watch your world unfold in these pages. Thanks for always being here with a new bit of that world for us to inhabit for a little while.
Said better than I could ever say it, but fitting. Thanks Jackie.
