Is Reggie going to accidentally seduce yet another smart big beautiful woman who a coworker is interested in?

Well this is the one who he was interested in.
IIRC he is attracted to beautiful minds over anything more physical or ephemeral.
Circumstances just so happened that he was ambushed by someone else from the group who was interested in him and he was not prepared to turn them down right then and there.

We had a cat once who jumped down on a loose board with a nail in it pointing upward. The nail went right through the cat’s front paw. The cat wasn’t strong enough to pick up the board.

Back in about 1984ish, I dismantled an old porch on our house to make way for an addition as our family was expanding. I carefully searched out every nail and screw and removed them then piled all the wood together. I managed to miss a single nail and my 3 yr old son managed to become impaled on said nail.

Speaking of unfortunate jabs-
I have friend who once got stung by a wasp, on [my friend’s] tongue. Oy, that’s so terrible.
It seems the wasp crawled onto the bottom of the cookie, while my friend picked it up.
As he said about the experience- “spicy cookie”. :P

The character of Reggie is now really nuanced. He can be a jerk, but today’s page shows he can also not be a jerk. Note that he didn’t tell the story in a way that made him sound more knowledgeable than he really is, and saying “after the third rusty nail” is actually self-deprecating humor.

Thomas is hoping that one day Reggie will want to be “one of the crew” again, and I too am hoping that day will come. It would be ironic if that day turned out to be the day the store closes forever and they all get laid off. (I hope that doesn’t happen because that would probably be the end of the comic, and I don’t want the comic to end.)

Not necessarily, just insert a black panel and move on … because this is (put on glasses) Between Failures.
