Gonna try and finally get me some decent glasses tomorrow. It seems pretty clear that you can’t expect good results from an eye doctor who works out of a Walmart. So It’s off to someone with their own building this time. My eyesight is getting bad enough that if I don’t get something that works I’m going to be genuinely blind before long. Right now the range where I can see clearly is about a foot from my face and that’s it. I can’t see any closer and I can’t see any farther. Hopefully this new person I’m going to can actually help. Seeing is pretty key to my ability to work.

Anyway, that’s what my short term plan is. If you want to help pay for my new glasses feel free to support my work via the links above. Although it seems like everyone is having a hard enough time dealing with their own stuff with the economy being what it is. It’s always something, isn’t it? I’ll catch you guys on Friday, hopefully with clear vision.

See, I always thought Between Failures deserved to have its own animated shorts (kinda like how Rooster Teeth started with 5 minute episodes). But these puppets? Dunno about the rest of you, but I’d pay for that!

Don’t you guys have an equivalent to Glasses Direct etc where you can get glasses cheaper on a website, just gotta know your prescription?

I need an accurate prescription. That’s priority one. I can have them stick new lenses in my old frames.

Yeah. It tends to be the frames that are expensive. But the place you shop better be able to replace lenses while you wait or you’ll be without while they send them away to a factory.

My eyes focus at about 6 inches. Don’t need reading glasses for small print. Read this comic on a Samsung tablet 6 inches from my nose. Watch movies similarly — exquisite wide-screen!

Zenni optical is probably the most well known / advertised online glasses retailer. I think I paid like $72 for a set of wayfarer lookalikes with all of the lens options. Gotta get your prescription from an eyedoctor first though.
