Update

Took mom to the ER last night. Her nausea and whatnot were keeping her from hydrating properly again. Dad has taken her back to her main doctor to get observed. If you wish to help by contacting the deity, or deities, of your choice it would be appreciated. I will keep you informed.

To those of you not interested in our struggles I apologize for presenting them. Unfortunately I can’t completely separate my actual life from this ongoing work.

I hope your week greets you less aggressively than mine has. As my use to my family is limited I will return on Wednesday with more low stakes adventures. Until then, I wish you well.

Probably not a three-way, but she doesn’t strike me as particularly possessive. I could Jess and Jo going poly, but almost certainly parallel, unless Jo is hiding a much hornier streak than one might expect.

Three-way would be a problem, because Mike is Jo’s boss (like I said under the previous strip). But poly could be fine, though if Jo ever has problems at work, or worse, gets fired (even if it’s not Mike’s decision and he is effectively just a messenger), that could also cause issues down the line.

I agree. To me- a paramour-type combo of [Jess, + Jo, + Mike], or even [Jo + Mike], would be putting Jo in a possibly risky…social + employment situation.

IMO- dating a boss, a boss that could punish or fire a theoretical-you, might not be a risk worth taking, for a theoretical-you.

[Also, just in my view: I don’t think Jackie would be that-type-of mean to “Little Jo”, and make her live out an unhappy or melodramatically tragic story like that story.]

Sorry to hear your mom is having it rough, I really hope it goes better for her, and your whole family very soon.

My sister was experiencing nausea that prevented her from eating properly. We eventually discovered that it was because of ulcers. When we started treating them, her nausea started going away.

as someone who spent yesterday worshipping the porcelin throne, by all means, be worried, be concerned and hopefully things are getting better.
I do not feel you need to apologize for sharing your concerns for familial well-being, we are honored that you felt you could share the concern with us, your readers.
while i cant offer prayers to powers that be, i can give you yet even more well-wishes and hopes that things improve or are continuing to improve.

Second…wow… go Jess! Get that foot in your mouth up to the knee cap! The look on her face is priceless! And yes I see Jo being more ok with this than Jess realizes and primarily Jess just being upset by feeling like she needs to both consider and consult Jo before flirting so directly with anyone…which is honorable and all but…I feel if she knew Jo a little better she’d realize Jo is hidden behind the soda fountain with a camera and a bag of popcorn not bothered one bit…lol… so to speak.
