First of all, I very much appreciate the prayers and well wishes for my mother, and also for myself. I apologize for not responding to them, but we have been busy adjusting to the new state of things. I accidentally allowed myself to get overheated one day and it took me a day and a half to get over the mild heatstroke. I stood in the shed for too long after already having been out in the heat for nearly my usual time limit. I can tolerate heat much better now that I have been walking for several months but my tolerance has a hard limit still. I simply misjudged where it was in moment of stress. In any case I recovered fully today, so in future I will be more careful.
Mom is up and about, doing various activities, and we are working up to ten thousand steps. She was in bed for so long it made her weak and it will take time to build it back up. The solution to the problem, as with many problems, is frequent naps. Her time is all screwed up which is somewhat amusing in that even still our internal clocks don’t sync up.
Between the two of us we turned the kitchen into an absolute disaster today, but I cleaned it up while she got a nap in. I’ll have to clean out the sink still since we didn’t get the hummingbird feeders cleaned out and she was desperate to have pizza today, so I made a big damn mess doing that very simple task. Once I got over the heat problem I had plenty of energy to do all the things.

Anyway, I’m ahead of the game on the comic enough to have a tiny, tiny, buffer so I’m not rushing. I need to get to cleaning things up and getting mom to bed again, so I’m going to do that. I will see you all on Monday. Until then, I hope you have a nice weekend, and take landscape portraits.

Her eyes look brown, are they something else? Light brown, but brown.

Amber. It’s a particular form of hazel, where there’s a larger amount of the yellow pigment, evenly mixed, instead of separated (which makes the more common brown-green hazel coloration).

Been hitting that age where more and more of my friends have parents are inflicted with disabilities of age, if not passing away. My condolences and well wishes.

I’m glad to hear your mother is doing better. I missed the news post yesterday and, as someone who has lost a chunk of relatives to the big C, it makes me really happy to hear she’s still going. Jackie, if you ever need time to take care of IRL stuff man, it’s fine. Please do, because I really like this comic and since you’re awesome enough to create it, I’d rather you be in a good or decent situation.
