For those of you who can’t remember the decade long plotline these two are talking about here is a quick rundown. Alex found out a set of unmarked historic graves belonged to relations of Reggie. Mike and Ed made a new monument for it mostly because Mike wanted to be nice and to have something useful to do. Jo and Jess started the chain of events. It all starts at page 1267 . I couldn’t even tell you when exactly this part of that thread comes up but it’s a long way after if memory serves even a little. Even as the creator of all of this I can no longer recall specific details as I once could. In any case it’s a place to jump back and reread from if you are bored.

I don’t have anything much to say tonight so I’ll just leave you to your own devices. It’s time to post about 3 minutes ago so I’m a little behind. I hope your week starts off nice. I’ll see you again on Wednesday. Until then, did you actually put your feet in the dirt like I said?

“so if you ever need someone taken care of, and you know when they want to go to the opera, just give me a call”

“We always repay our debts.”
“How is it you somehow make thanking me sound vaguely threatening?”
“It’s the way of my people. When you meet them you’ll understand.”

This is what I’m here for, the dialog is snappy, it’s funny, and at the same time it really gives us an insight in how Reggie thinks and how more self reflective he’s become since the start of the strip. Early Reggie never would have said something funny about how he comes off, he would have been offended I think maybe, but he’s grown and we’ve seen him grow and so this very funny bit doesn’t seem at all out of character.
