I was almost done with the page when the idea of Alex dragging Reggie away like Maddison had done before came to me. Originally she was just going to be holding his hand, but the idea of him getting manhandled again struck me as funny, along with his irritation about the entire affair. Really though, it’s not like he’s fighting all that hard to get away from a good time. It’s more like he would rather be the big tough man, which he categorically is not. Alex also wasn’t going to lick his face, but that idea came to me in the sketch as her being a little extra about the entire thing. Underneath the bangs Alex is actually quite a keen person. They are kind of a mask that she wears to mentally keep herself from being overly emotional in her everyday life. A person could infer that much if they noticed how much more animated she gets when the bangs go up. It’s always under the surface, waiting to be unleashed. It’s amusing that Reggie of all people is the one who dove in first, so to speak.

Since there are no children around here we didn’t do anything in particular for Easter, apart from being joyful about our savior sacrificing himself for us. That was very nice of him. We didn’t even buy any candy or anything. Partially because none of us need it, I don’t really like it, and the way they make it now is bad. It tastes like pennies to me. I used to enjoy one Cadbury egg for easter just because it’s such a gross novelty. Except now they are just not good. They’re smaller for a start, but also there’s that penny taste milk chocolate seems to have now. The liquid inside isn’t even liquid most of the time now. I might buy one if I see one on clearance the next time I’m out and about but they’ll probably all be gone by then. It won’t bother me much regardless since I completely forgot about them at all until today. I used to eat Peeps from time to time but I like them stale and I don’t generally like eating marshmallow enough to buy an entire package of the damn things. Although the DrPepper ones are very good since they taste like my favorite drink. I have several containers of DrPepper TicTacs though so I don’t particularly need peeps of the same flavor. The Tictacs are concentrated flavor so it only takes 4 of them to get a fix once a day. I hope they are a permanent flavor.

I’m probably going to help mom take a present to grandpa on Tuesday, but that’s about all I have going apart from working on things. Which is fine by me. I wanted to play Final Fantasy Tactics but I keep having more small tasks to do so I haven’t played it at all for weeks now. I only played it for a few hours when it first arrived and then couldn’t convince myself to take a break since then. As far as problems go though I like it much better than needing to see a doctor or whatever annoying shit life comes up with. If I’m only ever troubled by not having time to play games for the rest of my life I’d really be basically fine with that. Annoyed, but fine.

Peeps are my favourite candy and I am So Mad the US gets the good flavours. I’m lucky if I get the standard yellow chicks.

And because it’s important to say, and it’s come up this weekend: thank you for sharing the minutia with us. Also PSA for anyone reading this comment: if you get along with your primary caregivers give them a call maybe.

I used to love the old Cadbury eggs, but you’re right about the chocolate not tasting right anymore and the filling is even grainy sometimes.

I’ve taken to replacing them with caramel filled ones, the Galaxy ones if I can find them. They atleast seem to still taste good.

There was a change when Hershey and Cadbury were combined, or Hershey bought them, per some fans I know.

Tangentially Heath bars are now “chocolatey” covered. There’s a “dont get me started” subject of its own.

They started using copious amounts of Palm Oil in their products, hence the change in the taste.

Not sure why John would be better. At first he wasn’t into her because of her body and wasn’t it only because of Reggie who didn’t care about her body, that John started to look at her differently.

For John, it may seem he’s into her now, but it could just as easily be “he wants to win.”

The seven eleven around the corner has Dr Pepper beef jerky. It was awful.

Reggie, you need some martial arts training; strength becomes irrelevant once leverage is applied.

Catching up, and all through these pages I’ve been waiting for Reggie to say, “Hold on, back up, one of your *tamer* fantasies?!” But, welp, looks like they’re getting around to that anyway. Get some, Alex!

Reggie, I suggest you don’t worry about those things and just enjoy yourself.

I’m assured the taste change in chocolate is connected to something called “palm oil,” which is just super-dee-duper bad for you.

But then, so is a lot of life any more. No one can agree on how bad eggs are for you, and have not been able to for decades.

It’s nice to know I’m not the only person who likes stale marshmallows. I enjoy the chewiness. I’ll eat a circus peanut right up to the point where it crunches.

I like roasting marshmallows over a fire, + burning their outside to a crisp, + eating the m(s), as well as eating stale marshmallows.

Agree with “worse taste” of things; be it ingredient substitution or spreading thin (chocolate vs chocolaty due to less cacao and other similar, like ice cream vs frozen dairy with the amount of dairy milkfats) they just don’t have the appeal anymore for me.

I know the “Easter chocolate” taste Jackie is talking about. And while it doesn’t taste like pennies to me, I’m not fond of it either. (Of course I haven’t tasted easter chocolate in a while too. Maybe it, like everything else, has gooten worse and now it would taste like pennies to me too)

I like malt easter eggs. I can only occasionally get them, and when available they sell out fast. They are not chocolate- or chocolaty-flvoufed. They are usually sold under names other than “malt easterbeggs”. Once they were calle “robin’s eggs”. This makes them hard to identify in the store and by the time you get them home anf figure what they are and get back to the store thdy are sold out.
I wonder if I’ll see another before I die.
