Ko-Fi.

I hope you can forgive me doing a textless panel two pages in a row. I felt like it would work and no one can tell me not to really.

Anyway. I’ll keep it short tonight. My allergies are bothering me so much I’m having a hard time coping. Plus I messed up my shoulders a bit apparently and it made me feel really worn out earlier. Things are popping in and out all over. Regardless I will likely survive these minor injuries and be back to inflict comics upon you on Friday. Until then, a blessing on you and your houses.

Idk what it is, but this feels like an ending of some sort.

Fair. That would be a good one for those two.
But what about all the side stories that are currently running?

Black frame.
Fade in: BETWEEN FAILURES
Scene: Thomas, unshaven, slowly walking down the street in a city with skyscrapers. He doesn’t look happy. Enters backdoor of a clothing store.

I definitely shouldn’t be trying to read this after work…way to tired and eyes unfocused. My brain turned Carol’s bubble in panel 2 into “I’m not obsessed with living with you”. Yay, going slightly unfocused and cross-eyed!

…Inflict?

In the words of Tito, from the Disney film..Oliver & Company:

“If this is “torture”, then chain me to the WALL.”
:D

(BTW- I really love this page. I think the silent panel, in this page + the previous one, [really work well], because- IMO, this event is a [big time] for Carol + Tom.)

You do you, man! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and I can hear her squeal with joy in that last frame.

Thanks for telling a fun story.

Text and speech bubbles in comic panels are like color commentators during sports: can let us know what’s happening, help explain or provide context, even help you see something you would have missed on your own. But every now in then its better if there’s silence and you can just take in the moment (think a game winning shot or play an instead of just having the roar of the crowd and seeing the winners break out in celebration while the losers slump in rejecting you hear “Man they must be so heartbroken that they lost”…like yes, I can see that).

This feels like a nice segue into a new era of the comic: do we get more comedy in their joint abode, with friends coming over as well? Could this set up drama, living together sets the stage for a claim of dating against company policy Wes or a future villain? Tune in next time (and several times over after that) to see!

This, and the previous episode, just contain so much unbridled joy! It is a balm to my soul.
With so much schadenfreude around, it’s wonderful to see and experience freudenfreude.

When done right, nothing needs to be said, expressions and body language can convey a whole plethora of things without a word needing to be spoken, use them whenever you see fit!

As someone who has been working on a book and has read this since the beginning I imagine you’re super stoked to be at this point in your story.

You’ve done a few textless panels and succeeded with them. Now you need to try a full textless page like what Jeph Jacques occasionally does over on “Questionable Content.”

Oh, SO CUTE – as others have pointed out, sometimes the picture is enough. Wishing you a histamine remission.
