Rather than sit here and try to think of something to talk about I think I’ll just remind you that there are links all over the page if you want to support my work and go back to my sorting. I need to start getting things set up to be sold. We haven’t reached the glorious land of no taxes a certain group of people have been dangling in front of we Americans yet. I believe it when I see it, as they say. Until then, I assume I’m going to keep needing money. Anyway, I hope you have a nice midweek. I’ll see you on Friday, I hope.

Reggie and Alex are perfect for each other

No, she was better with John.

To add to the discourse, John has some learning to do before he deserves someone like Alex. He couldn’t admit he was interested until it was too late, because he balked at her not being his usual type.

I keep hearing that John realized too late, but never can find wheee Alex said she was done with him. Wasn’t Alex trying to date both to see which one was better for her. When did she make her decision?

The majority of relationships here are pretty well thought out and generally well-paired. The only one I don’t really see being long-term is Jessica and Jo.

They balance each other out imo. I think they both have a lot of personal growth to work through (who doesn’t at that age, come on), but as long as they can support and communicate with each other, like any good couple, I can see them together for a long long time.

I agree. The basis of their relationship is Jess restraining her attitude so as to not hurt the puppy-like Jo, but that, to me, indicates that Jo can’t actually handle Jess. If Jess gets mad, or enthusiastically decides to do something Jo vehemently opposes, Jo will simply be railroaded into it. It’s fine to be the quieter and, dare I say, submissive half of a couple, that’s fine, but you still need to be able to put your foot down when necessary. I’m not sure Jo can, and I’m not sure Jess is even-keeled enough to not take it as a challenge and dig her heels in if Jo actually challenged her in a way she found frustrating instead of adorable. That doesn’t mean Jess is a bad person, but I could easily see her, quite unintentionally, being controlling and even borderline-abusive, because she just overpowers Jo with her personality and will, resulting in a situation where Jo is miserable and Jess is blissfully unaware, convinced they have “solved all of their problems,” when in reality she just browbeat Jo into submission on every point.

(Jackie is probably going to read this and think I’m an absolute nutter who got everything wrong, but it’s just my take from relationships I’ve seen)

We are indeed still waiting on the No Taxes pledge to be realized. But we must remember that we are only about eight months in, give or take.

What “no taxes” pledge? I’ve seen “no taxes on tips” and “no new tax increases” but only a fringe group of ancaps ever talk about “no taxes at all.”
