Well, here we are again. Another Monday, a new month. It seems like it got here fast from my perspective. While I was working this weekend I got sick of Youtube and put on my DVDs of Game Center CX. It was called Retro Game Master in the US, and that’s what’s on the box set, but I always think of it by it’s original name since I watched so many subtitled episodes on Youtube before they got scrubbed. I’d buy more DVDs if they had ever offered them, but I guess Fuji TV didn’t think there was money in it. I need to see if I can find any of the other pirated episodes somewhere. The set I have has quite a few but there was, like, 11 seasons of the show I could be watching too. I actually have the game they released in the US too. It was a failure unfortunately so the sequel never came out here. Seeing as the show wasn’t super well known it’s not surprising. Somewhere in the blog archive I bet I talked about it. If it’s not one of the lost blogs I suspect I say some of the same things I’m saying now. XD

Bleh. Well anyway, I should probably do other things instead of typing more. I hope your week and month starts off nice. I’ll see you back here on Wednesday hopefully. Please consider supporting my efforts with the various links here and there about the page. Until next time, Kachou on!

Never heard of the show, but Wikipedia says there are 20 years of DVDs available in Japan. Seems like the kind of thing AI will soon be used for, generating subtitles on the user-end. I’d fully expect some Japanese company to spearhead that so they can export more anime without having to go through the trouble of localization; just play it on a PC and run a program to translate in real time (or maybe it can read the file in advance and create a subtitle file to play over the video). I dunno, we’re stuck with AI whether we like it or not, I’m just trying to think of positive uses for it.

And I have lost track; what’s being rededicated? The library?

Considering the attendee list, I believe the rededication ceremony would be the “lost” family gravesite that she helped find through her research.
