I ran across the power cord for the portable DVD player that burnt up in my bed several however long agos. My instinct is to keep all such things for some future need that likely will never come, but I’m trying to break that habit. By chance I also found my Game Gear and, on a whim, I checked to see what the power requirements are, since it takes something like 6 double A batteries to work. By chance the DVD player cord matched the Game Gear. So I kept it and packed it away again with its new mate.
I got that Game Gear in the early 2000s, well after it was a new product. It was new old stock from Toys R Us, sold at a deep discount. I only have a handful of games for it. None of them are very good. At the time though I would buy basically any game device I could get cheap just to see what it was like. I haven’t tried to acquire more games in all the time I’ve had it and the ones I have now were acquired by accident. Crystal Warriors is the only game I know I want and I’m not sure that’s the correct title. Regardless the batter in any copy I might find will likely need replacing. Not a difficult task, but still a task. I have the game downloaded on one of my Gameboys and it’s a much better way to play the game. Which is part of why I’ve never tried to pick up anything else for it. Honestly I’m not super sure why I keep it at all, since it really isn’t a very good way to play any game it can. If you can download one on basically anything else it will be a better experience. I guess, like with many things, I’m planning for a future that will likely never come, rather than living well in the present I’m stuck in.
Anyway, I hope you have a nice Monday. I’ll see you on Wednesday. Until then, remember the now.

Was this entire discussion just to make that pun. Was it.
(If yes I strongly approve)
Funny Thomas specifically asks what kind of “Man” could take Carol away from him.
Is that because he already knows Nina is her taste in women…. or might he be looking to cash in that “Open Invitation” they have with Jess & Jo?
“Meet you at the grave, Miss Graves.”
Such an opportunity gone to waste :)
Love the comic, the depth of character in just about anyone.
I have to recommend a song called When It’s Time by Altamullan Road. It’s about an old couple – one is alive and one is still going, promising to meet “when it’s time.” This comic invoked that one.
I Loved my game gear. I played the heck out of it even after it was discontinued. Got me through a lot of boring road trips when I was wrestling.
