Recently I’ve started saying “bet”. My venicular is finally picking up some slang

Not trying to be contrary, but the word “bet” is not slang.

But it is a vernacular way to say that you have every intention of following through, as in ” you can take that to the bank,” or a shortened version of “you can bet on it.”

This is some pretty deep stuff Ed is bringing Nina into; we’re witnessing a level of openness I hadn’t realized they’d reached.

On the one hand, I’ve been waiting nearly a year for this date.
On the other… I’ve always been of the opinion that when you’re dating, you shouldn’t hold back.

You don’t need to confess to every skeleton, but being openly yourself so each party is fully on board
