Man, it’s already Friday. I feel like I’m getting overtaken by everything.

I guess the two events in Splatoon 3 took up two weekends worth of time I would usually have given to other tasks. Splatoon 3 ended its support cycle with the Grand Festival. It’ll still be playable like 2, but no more updates unless they are for emergency stuff. Essentially the game as an evolving service is over. I love the lore of Splatoon and the aesthetic, but have a love hate relationship with the actual game. In 2 I actually reached something like X10 rank, but in 3 I only ever got as far as X1. When 2 was still being supported a lot of things were going on that made me want to escape reality so I poured a lot more time into it than I would have normally. With 3 that hasn’t been so much the case. At least I don’t feel like I need to rely on it like I did with 2. I hope that Splatoon 4 is in development, but if it isn’t the Grand Festival was a nice send off for the series, at least until they decide to bring it back. I assume they are working on 4, but with Nintendo you can never tell. Sometimes they just randomly abandon a franchise that seems to be doing well. I mean Splatoon 3 got some of the last Amiibo produced. 2 sets of idol groups in updated outfits. They haven’t been making many Amiibo so that’s something.

Anyway, i guess I’ll let you get to your weekend. Support links up top if you want to make sure the comic keeps coming. Come see me again on Monday and stay safe until you do. In fact just stay safe in general.

If Splatoon is done with their support cycle, it means they’ll (likely) be switching over to Animal Crossing, so Splatoon 4 would be whenever that’s in end-of-life, again, I guess. At least, that’s how it was explained to me as someone who hasn’t owned a Nintendo in years and only picked up AC 2 years too late to be relevant.
