Ep op ork ahah. I haven’t heard that in over 20 years. Good Lord I’m old

Ditto for me. I was still in the womb when it ran on primetime but it was definitely part of the Saturday morning cartoon experience.

I’m writing this from somewhere in Tennessee. Very long drive still to where I am going.

Poor… Frick, I forgot her name- she’s just the small feisty one to me- She’s really worried for her friend, who is really just trying to loosen up and relax, but she’s of course concerned Nina will at best fall asleep and at worst do something she’ll regret. It’s not something always welcome, because interfering with the inebriated seldom goes smoothly, but is generally done with the best intentions.

Hopefully Nina enjoys her date, and Feisty gets to relax feeling she helped her friend :)

Altering her metabolism eh? Will Nina one day join the ranks of the chubby gals in this webcomic? I wouldn’t mind seeing that.

Then Jess and Jo, being of the sapphic persuasion and all, can gain fifty pounds each. After that, we need all the guys to grow ever fatter. Thomas as a sarcastic blimp could be fun.

Only Wes stays slim. Not even Ramon.

(How about a ‘welsh rarebit’ arc, Jackie?)

Evriva, your: good old, reliable, loving, + faithful friend.

[In other news: her face expressions, when she’s happy or excited, can still scare the heck out of me, however.
She’s still one of my favorite women in the cast, however.]
:D

Evrina is like every Ren Faire gal I’ve ever met squashed into one person. It’s amazing and terrifying in equal measure.

Unfortunately for Evarina, those metabolic tricks only work if you implement them BEFORE you start drinking. Once the alcohol is so far into your system that it has hit the bloodstream the contents of your stomach don’t matter anymore, its the liver’s problem now and the only thing that’ll sober you up is time. The liver of an average adult can process about one standard serving’s worth (12oz beer, 4oz wine, 1-1/4oz of 80 proof spirits) of alcohol in an hour. Given how quickly and how hard the wine affected Nina let’s say it may take a bit extra time, call it an extra 25%. Now, Evarina said she had about a third of a bottle which is roughly 8.25oz or a little over two servings which would take the average liver two hours to process. Adding in the extra time for Nina’s weak liver puts it at about 2.5 hours before Nina sobers up.
