Hehe our FLGS usually also only has one employee working at time it is amazing how often the regulars watch the door, greet customers or other wise allow the employee a chance to step away from the counter.

I own a tire shop. One pseudo-employee (the old guy who gave the place to me and just comes out for something to do and a paycheck that he refuses to increase) and one part-timer. My customers will just relax and chat with each other. No rush, no stress. I don’t need to ask them to guard anything because they’ll all be too busy gossiping to bother anything. I just holler that I’ll be back in a minute and they just might notice that I left.
