Damnit, I was going to talk about something but I totally forgot what it was… Maybe if I write a little it will come back to me. Plip plop, plip plop… Maybe something in my room will jog my memory… Fuck. I need to start writing things down. I can’t trust my brain to hold on to stuff anymore.

If you use the old .NET address for the site in your links it’s not redirecting here at the moment. I don’t know how to fix that at the moment, but I expect I will, or someone will tell me how at some point. Apparently fixing the main site messed it up somehow. That wasn’t the thing but it is a thing I remember.

I dunno, I guess I’m just not going to remember until after I post, or later on tonight. Maybe by next update I’ll remember the thing I wanted to say.

Well, I’d like to say that this has been a fantastic story arc so far. Keep up the great work!

Ditto. Quite thoroughly awesome. Honestly, the best one that’s been yet. Not that the others have been BAD, really, but this one was over-the-top great.

And I empathize about your memory not being what it once was. I’m constantly forgetting things and leaving myself notes. Have to work more puzzles, I guess, so I don’t end up with dementia or something.

Oh yeah, post it notes are a godsend. At my last job I had a white board and a whole chunk of wall devoted to post it notes. With me it is sort of an ADHD sort of thing. I’ll have a thought that I want to hang on to and I tend to move on before it gets past working memory.

I’m glad you could find someone who would repair your website the way that you wanted it done. It looks great.

As my memory fades the one thing I cannot seem to forget, is every awkward social interaction I have ever had. I am approaching 70 and a trip to the store without a list, is now a complete waste of time. However while I am at the store wondering why I am there, I might recall a time in grade one when I said something stupid.

If you’re using WordPress for your site, install the Redirection plugin and do a 301 redirect from the .net version of the site to the .com version. The plugin is free and pretty easy to use.

It doesn’t have to be the Redirection plugin, that is the most popular option though. You could use 301 Redirects – Easy Redirect Manager or WordPress SEO Plugin by Rank Math (but the latter likely has a lot of SEO features you may or may not need depending on your comfort level with search engine optimization)

By the way, your comic is awesome! It’s one of the few that I have kept up with over the past few years.

Well Jackie, welcome to my world…and I’m only a few days older than you. I had to start writing things down years ago, especially at work, otherwise I forget about them and miss something I was supposed to do, which can range from “no big deal, do it now” to “oh crap, oh crap, oh crap”. I’m not sure that my memory is necessarily any worse, though it probably is to some extent from years of sleep deprivation, but certainly I have more things to keep track of the older I get.

Hang in there, Jackie, you have the ability to get organized, you just need the time and energy to do it, which is always the problem. :)

Sometimes I wonder if my difficulty in remembering things has something to do with remembering the plots or story lines to one degree or another of dozens (and to a lesser extent, maybe hundreds) of webcomics. Very few as much as yours, but still there- taking up some infinitesimal bit of gray matter that is now not available for remembering something more pertinent to my daily life. Its all your fault, Jackie! I kid. It’s my addiction, and you’re a beneficent pusher. I appreciate your hard work. I think we all do.
