1091 All In The Family.

Well, my little world is still all fucked up. I never did manage to find time to write anything for the fantasy story from Monday, and I am officially one page behind schedule for the comic itself. I still have my buffer of course, but I like to keep ahead of it for any complete disasters that might happen. I don’t know what that would actually entail, since I tend to work right through disasters anyway, but I don’t fancy being caught off guard. Inviting disaster by being unprepared is not on my to do list.

I haven’t had much time to play Animal Crossing obviously. I don’t even know how you’re supposed to visit other towns at this point, which is a shame since I’ve added a few friends for once. Animal Crossing seems to be a game that a wider audience plays. I guess all the fans have been hoping this would be the title that Nintendo finally opened the doors with regarding internet connectivity. That remains to be seen.

I did manage to pen a little more fiction for you guys. It’s not much but it’s something. Hope you enjoy:

The three friends decided that it would be better to spend another night in the woods, rather than wander into the underground temple that afternoon. Julius didn’t protest for several reasons. He was starstruck for a start, plus the temple seemed to radiate unpleasant energies more strongly the closer to evening that it got. He would have been outvoted anyway, so there wouldn’t have been much point in protesting in any case. The other two obeyed Alina’s slightest command, although it seemed to be out of loyalty rather than mindless consideration for her rank. She had an aura of confidence that made you want to trust her. It wasn’t arrogant, or ostentatious, like Regalius, but somehow candid. At the same time you knew it would be unwise to cross her too. She was every bit a leader.
Julius didn’t do much talking that afternoon. The trend continued into the evening. He didn’t like the sound of the temple at all. The first exploratory team never reported back, and they seemed to have been trusted comrades. This was unfortunate on a variety of levels that he didn’t care to ponder. Niona had found a very detailed map however and Julius spent several hours of daylight listening to them talk while memorizing as much of it as he could. It was complex, a lot of places to hide triggers. Not only did he not intend to meet the same fate as the first team but he desperately wanted to impress these people. Two of them in particular…

That night Niona displayed the same cavalier attitude toward propriety that she had the night before, as did Regalius. Although Julius noted that he only stole furtive glances at Niona while she acted as if she was the only creature on earth. The pair of them pranced around mostly naked right up till the bedrolls came out. In contrast, Alina changed into whatever it was she wore to sleep in the safe confines of her long cloak. If she’d changed at all it was almost impossible to tell. As night closed in around them Regalius played a soothing tune that carried all around the little valley. Niona assured Julius that there wouldn’t be any need for a watch, but he decided to stay up for a while just the same. The idea of a magical song being the only thing between him and a knife in the dark was not quite enough. He had to admit that the disquieting aura of the temple seemed to have been pushed away however. After a few laps around the clearing he settled down at Dew Beam’s roots and kept his ears open. The only thing that disturbed him from that point on was the sound of Niona crawling under Alina’s blanket and the resigned protestations she put forth before Niona snuggled in good and tight.

So much boob talk, lol. I’m not unfortunate in that department myself, but I didn’t go through that many bras when I developed, or get as big.

Still really loving the story, it’s fun seeing the characters from the comics in a different manner. Also, I wish my last name was even half as epic as Redgrave, lol.

A grand addition to both stories as always. I am finding it difficult each day to wait for the next installment!

Cheers mate,
Junior

About time I found the page and caught up. I was still on page 1080-something thinking the comic was still down due to computeral issues or something… clicked home to see if I could find details, boop, comic right in my lap.

Anywho… as sad as it sounds, despite being a guy, I can sorta relate… only sorta tho. My gut and moobs aren’t getting any smaller, and for me, it is REALLY started to take a toll on my back. Just reading this little character development just reminds me that my body is going the way of the dodo if I don’t do something about it… and that just depresses me because I honestly just can’t find the drive to actually do something about it. I know I need to do it, among other things like learn to drive and get a damn job, but… when I think about what I know needs to be done, it just feels too overwhelming and my whiny inner 8-year old just kicks in and I go play minecraft and other video games to forget about all the issues I should legitimately be worrying about right now. *sigh*

Then allow me to introduce you to a cliche, if you’re not already aware of it.

How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time.

I’m mostly in the same boat as you, but I’m finally beginning to see the logic in the elephant cliche. I’m not so bad off in the shape department, but I could stand to lose about 40 pounds and eat a little better. I’ve been cooking at home more than eating out lately. It does take more time than eating out. However, it is soooo much less expensive!

I also went for a run yesterday morning. It wasn’t much of a run, but it was a run. 1 minute at least jogging with 1 minute walking for 20 minutes. Next week it will be 2 minutes running for one minute walking. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with simply walking for 20-30 minutes.

My goal is to run a marathon, or begin running them regularly. The thing is I have to start somewhere, and if I never start, I’ll never reach my goal.

Moral of the story. Just start with one thing. Make it a habit. Once you’re confident in doing one thing, start branching out. I might even suggest NOT starting with something physical if you aren’t comfortable doing it.

Just do something productive. Find a friend who’s willing to help you. I’m in a 2 year college right now. I haven’t lived with my parents since 1997, but I don’t have a job right now, either. I’m very seriously considering calling my dad and having him ask me if I have a job two times a week just to keep it on my mind until I actually get one.

Anyway, I told myself I was going to do dishes between classes. I had better get on that.

Man, I haven’t played Animal Crossing in years. Now with everyone sharing their friend codes I want to play it again, are the games backwards compatible or would I need to get the newest one? I really don’t know how that works… not to mention I need to figure out what I did with my DSL, been using my DS with a broken hinge because I misplaced my charger for my DSL. So I put my DSL up till I could find the charger, and wouldn’t you know it, now that I found the charger, I don’t remember where I put the DSL.

Think I will look for it tomorrow… I’ve been playing a lot of Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town lately… not sure where the heck I put my game case with all of my other games either… Well looks like tomorrow is tear the apartment apart day so I can find stuff.

Aw craptastic, didn’t realize Animal Crossing New Leaf was for the 3DS… I don’t own one of those yet and from the state of my income I’m not likely to for quite some time. That sucks.

New Leaf’s system requires you to open the gates at the train station for visitors.
From there, your town is open to people who have your friend code (to my knowledge).
But in order to receive the messages you can send in-game, you have to have them on your Best Friends List.
It’s confusing, but the only thing that 3DS lacks (imo) is a voice chat system.
Having to use a combination of short in-game messages and Voxer is rather tiresome if you’re just trying to find the money rock in a friend’s town.

Well, this is Earth we’re talking about here. Disaster is inevitable. Can’t spend your whole life hiding under a table. Prep as much as you need to, then live your life and go FREE!

Also, regarding the comic:
Never expected this. It’s nice to see some hidden details about a character become brought to light within the story itself, rather than mentioned in a passing comment.

Finally caught up to this amazing comic, best link I ever followed from another webcomic. The real life background of the characters makes everyone of them someone we can all relate to.

Also sweet to hear others playing Animal Crossing.
