I actually had the page ready well before posting time, but lost track of time this evening because there was a fire across the field from the house. It’s been wet enough recently that it wasn’t as big a deal as it would have been a month ago, but it pays to be aware of that sort of thing, so we watched it for a long while. Anyway, since I’m accidentally late now I’ll just wish you a nice start to your week. I’ll be back on Wednesday. Until then, dance like everyone is watching, and judging…

The word SQUEAKQUEL is cursed and I love it.

“It’s Dumb and Dumber. Dumb-ing soon, to a theater near you!”
:D

I loved that the sequel was actually called Dumb and Dumber To. And the prequel was Dumb and Dumber-er. The sequel itself, however, was a grave disappointment. The prequel was no great shakes either.

Unfortunately too many sequels are just a way to use up the second tier bits that weren’t quite good enough to make it into the first movie.

Very true.

Some people call lackluster sequels, or sequels that can’t stand on their on plot: films that have “sequel-itis”.

The worst is when a decent movie spawns a wave of sequels, each one a little worse, but they somehow make just enough money the studio keeps churning them out.

“…dance like everyone is watching, and judging….” Might as well—they always are no matter what I do. Except for most of the time, when they don’t notice me at all.

Mostly unrelated to today’s page, I have a type, and she’s a theorist on oglaf (nsfw) this week.
Some attributes in common with customer service, or rules lawyer.

Jackie, I’m glad the fire wasn’t close but you have my sympathies all the same. In my part of the world a big brass fire can mess with your allergies from 200 miles away.

Well dang, talking of grass fires and a few hours later the neighbors nearly lost their garage and one of my out buildings got scorched. The local VFD arrive quickly but it still got within 75 feet of the house. Extreme heat and winds had fires popping up all over the place.

Ok, I cant be the only one wondering…

Why is the DM’s voice coming from above?

A lot of d + d gamers, + other rpg gamers, like to sarcastically call their gm, “god”, because: he… she or they are running a fictional world, + the gamemaster/dungeonmaster aka the person running the game has 100% power over what happens in the game.

It might be some idea like that, I guess.
:)

[My apologies to all religious people, of all kinds, out there.]

Dunno who the new guy is, but I really love his facial expressions!

Pretty sure that’s the dude from way back early in the comic who tried to flirt with Carol.

Always love a good lore reveal (and should have commented on Cruise Control but shall after Squeakquel – also good reference play like these haha).
