Someone asked about my sleep study yesterday which puts in in mind now. I didn’t find out the results until the day after, so I hadn’t been able to give an a reply. The short version is I’ll be getting a new machine to replace my out of service one. I’m not super confident in the results of the test, but I guess I can repair that bridge when I come to it, if it ends up being an issue. I had a panic attack at the start of the test. Probably triggered from having shit hugging my body and things shoved up my nose. I fell asleep long enough for it to get triggered and then went back to sleep after it subsided. Also, I’m apparently to something in the straps. I’ve never had a reaction to any kind of rubber or vinyl before, but every place the straps touched bare skin left painful welts. Not a deadly allergy, but certainly something I’ve never had happen before and will be wary of from now on. It took a little over a day for them to heal. Anyway, I’m sure the process of getting the new machine will be annoying and be very similar to a scam, much like it was with the first one, but hopefully it will be more effective than the current one has been lately. If nothing else I might be able to get masks that are updated and more efficient.
In other news I found an old PS3 in a closet that must have been one of the teens before she moved in with us. It was absolutely filled with the super fine dust that you get in outdoor sheds. I blew it out and fired it up just to see if it would function at all. It worked and even updated itself. My intention is to tear it down, clear it out completely, replace the fan if I can’t get it going again, and possibly replace the disc reader since it’s probably shot. After that I intend to modify it such that it will run old game ROMS. A friend of mine has a library of every game since before 2000 or there abouts that he will copy and send to me if I manage to repair the system. These super old PS3s are apparently sought after for doing this very thing. Having bought multiple copies of practically every game I own I feel like I’ve paid my debt to every game company at this point. If I want to emulate Final Fantasy in such a way that I can play it in HD I’ve earned that right. This will save me having to mod, or try to purchase, some way of playing my old games on modern televisions hopefully. Since Nintendo seems hell bent on making people pay a subscription to play their 50 year old games I’m finding it very hard to maintain the same level of brand loyalty I might once have had.
This new world of renting everything in perpetuity is not one that I care much for. If I can’t have physical media I will circumvent the issue in other ways. I’ve been more than accommodating for many years now. Anyway the process to mod the PS3 seems simple enough that even I can do it. Cleaning it out, replacing parts, and putting in new thermal paste is well within my abilities as well. I doubt that the Teen has in interest in this old thing. We replaced hers at least once and I’m not sure she even kept it. I know her husband plays modern games so they must have a PS4 at least. She never talks about playing games though. In fact I’m not sure what she does with her time as an adult. Maybe taxes. That’s a very grown up activity.
In any case that’s about all I have going on at this moment apart from the endless sorting of my old junk. Someday I may even be able to enjoy some of these things I took so much care to collect. In any case I’ll be back on Wednesday with another page. I hope your week has a good start. Oh, I should also say something about supporting the comic too. You can work out the particulars of that on your own, I’m sure. I think that’s about it so, until next time, keep away from fire or flame.

May have been a reaction to latex. Allergies can emerge and fade at different points in time. I have a latex allergy but it only really affects me if I already have itritated or cut skin (I have eczema and a cat, so not uncommon issues), and on mucus membranes.
My dermatologist has told me that as one gets older allergies can change. I am now allergic to Cedar pollen and Poison Ivy which I was not when I was younger, which is why I now have a dermatologist!
You should add an allergy test to your medical process once a year or so just to be safe.
