People saying Maddison should be with John, I don’t think she’s completely given up on Reggie.

Just as John hasn’t given up on Alex.

But Alex appears content with Reggie.

Being content isn’t always enough. But no, I don’t think John is gonna win her over just because of his charms. She’s properly into Reggie’s intellect, no matter how detached from ‘normal folk’ he is sometimes.

I consider Alex more than content with Reggie. She keeps a lot of her feelings at a simmer compared to Carol, Maddie, and Evrina.

Maddie is a lot more than she looks.

Not related- I think there’s a famous,Japanese ghost story, where:

a ghost of [a 6 year old girl?] grabs you or another victim by the arm, + then drags you along the ground, like she’d drag a teddy bear.
She’s very strong, so when she drags people, she accidentally(?) drags them to death.

The last panel just screams, “the moment an introvert was adopted by an extrovert.” I can’t wait to see how awkward Reggie’s friendship ceremony goes. I feel like the only pairing that wouldn’t be awkward is Reggie and his sister, unless she trys teasing him about coming outta his shell or somethin.

…that’s an awful lot of words out of Maddison. I’m not sure how many of them are real and how many of them are verbal chaff designed to throw off the point, though.
