Well shit, it’s Monday again. It arrived at light speed & I don’t feel like I got a whole lot done over the weekend. It is what it is, I guess. The new page is here and that’s all you should care about really. Now that it’s ready to post I’m going right back to what I was doing before I started. There’s nothing much worth wasting your time with down here anyway.

I hope your week starts off nice. I’ll see you on Wednesday, God willing. Until then, remember that recycling is a scam and we should go back to using glass bottles.

Half my weekends are usually just recovering from the week, so I always feel like they are too short now.

Also, Reggie; drizzle drizzle.

…that IS a good point about glass bottles, though. A LOT easier to melt and recast glass. Better for you, too. No microplastics.

The reason glass fell out of favour especially for soft drinks is all the teenagers smashing them around parks and playgrounds or trying to make a glass shiv and just cutting their fingers off.

Glass also has size and weight issues with a 500ml glass bottle being 15 times heavier than glass and gets worse when going to larger sizes which increase transport costs in fuel as hundreds of billions of bottles are sold every year.

Honestly replacing plastic bottles with aluminium bottles and cans would be better as they weigh less than glass, are easily recyclable and they don’t leave glass shards everywhere when thrown away by teenagers or kids.

Aluminium cans still have the microplastics problem, though, since you’re essentially drinking out of a metal-stabilized super-thin plastic bag. But yeah, much easier to recycle indefinitely.

Well, and the other problem with aluminum is the aluminum; it’s not good for you either, not anymore than plastics. If it gets in your bloodstream, it can cause your blood to thicken. There aren’t many good answers here. Even better materials are usually coated and sealed with some BS you really don’t want to be guzzling down. I think we all need to carry around actual, hollowed-out gourds.

But, yeah, having lived near a liquor store and seen the sheer amount of broken debris left on the street and sidewalks nearby, I can’t really recommend glass. People are too irresponsible for us to have it. Although I confess the 10 cent bottle fee when I lived in Michigan helped get people to care for, and recycle, their bottles, to get their money back (the trade off is the cost of the machines and personnel to work them, so you can’t really say whether it’s overall better).

At least glass will grind back down to sand. I’m old enough to remember when there was a local Dr. Pepper bottling plant. It had large windows and you could see the machinery operating from the street. You could tell when a bottle had been recycled a few time. It would start to show scratches around the base of the bottle.

Who wouldn’t want a sugar mama? It’d be a nice change, I’ve been a “daddy” for 40 years to the same lovely lady (that was 5 years younger) the only draw-back is we got old lol.

This interaction makes me think Maddison will assume Reggie likes his ladies BIG, so will start working on that. Not realising that it’s intelligence that gets him going.
