Man, I have 5 minutes to write something before posting time. I guess that’s fine since I haven’t been doing anything apart from my usual work and the endless sorting of my old junk. I did manage to hurt myself doing it, but that’s par for the course. I need to put one of my air filters in the basement to mitigate the weird dust that’s always down there. It used to irritate my lungs terribly, but now it only does it a little because of the radon filter that’s always running. I feel like one of my little filters could probably reduce that problem even more. One of them has developed an annoying rhythmic tick, so I can’t have it in the same space as me or it slowly drives me insane. I’ll also need to put it on some kind of internet switch so I can turn it off without actually needing to go all the way downstairs. I’m not super worried about it catching fire, but the chances of any machinery not catching fire is never 100%. I want to be able to turn it off when no one is home to monitor it.

I love Reggie’s face in the first panel watching Alex needle Evrina.
He looks like he’s in awe of this petty little act that Alex is performing, like he’s about to fall in love with her all over again.

I don’t think Reggie was expecting dinner *and* a show.

Alex is, like, “stretch pants? Is that all you got? Disappointing!”

She led with “truffle-sniffing”, which could be pretty subtle for Evrina. But yeesh, it could refer to other personal things other than merely implying that she’s a pig.

Hmmm. Kind of annoying they’re all heaping on her AT WORK for no very good reason… doesn’t exactly help them come off as the good guys. What exactly is Alex’s ‘revenge’ in aid of again? I can’t recall.

You mean besides Evrina’s constant barrage of insulting nicknames? There is the matter of her derailing the last Order of the Pelt meeting’s introduction to John and Reggie…

I think this kind of return fire might be typical of Alex; she did mention having to remind Evrina on occasion of the glass house she casts her stones from. Perhaps, though, she might have reconsidered if she knew the morning Evrina’s had.

All? Alex was the only one who planned this, and she only wanted to slightly annoy Evrina.

I think this is sort of a gift to Evrina too. I think she likes this sort of thing, it’s fun for her. Maybe this day is too much of it, but I think it’s her style of game.

I didn’t know Alex was so ready for this. Now she’s just showing off.

I think this is only the third time we’ve seen her and Evrina since the Order of the Pelt meeting, and certainly the first time with Reggie dating Alex. Grab your ?.

I’m imagining that there are a bunch of other customers that we haven’t seen because they’re not named characters who have been just sitting off-panel watching the Evrina Show this whole time.

A show like this, I’d forget to eat.
