I always saw their outfits as a darker blue, not green

I am definitely not colorblind (tested) and I can attest that these shirts are navy blue and not even a little bit green ?

I can see why most people would say blue but I definitely can’t see navy at all. It’s more of a bluish-green to me, like dark aqua. Also, just because you aren’t specifically color blind doesn’t mean you have ideal color vision. It’s a spectrum and the line between normal vision and “color blindness” is rather arbitrary. Not to say my color vision is amazing either, I don’t think it is, I’m just saying that not every person with normal color vision will see things the same.

I can attest to Emmi’s visual: it looks navy blue, yet a smidge lighter, to me too. Doing a search on the hex code I come across “Lush Aqua” described as a ‘darker shade of cyan’ or ‘very dark blue’.

Busting out the ol’ MS-Paint skills out of curiosity, I’m seeing their shirts’ RGB hex value as #004866, almost (but not quite) a 3:2 blue to green ratio with 0 red. More or less a fully saturated, fairly dark Cyan.

Biggest issue with gravatar is the lack of an edit button to backtrack and phrase stuff different after you re-read what you’re replying to XD

This seems to be the most spot on. It leans toward blue, but it’s definitely like a much darker version of a sea green. Kind of like looking out at the ocean in areas with a lot of vegetation.

No, it’s too light and (indeed) has a bit too much green in it to be Navy blue. This is more a dark teal.

Yeah put me in the “That looks blue to me” gang. Now I kinda wonder if Jackie is one of those “Sees a broader color spectrum” folks. Eyes of a mantis shrimp!

Now that’s just ridiculous. No way is that rolling off the tongue. “Eye of mantis shrimp and toe of frog”, just what kind of hell-brew are you imagining? Witchcraft: allow no substitutions! Maybe if you were trying to make a potion to turn someone into Jacques Cousteau.

I do agree it’s blue, though.

I think you’re correct but corpo probably calls it green because those kinds of people are insane.

Um… their shirts look blue to me, and I noticed lordcrusade and Steeeeve in other comments thought it was as well… do you have tritanomaly where you can see some difference or more severe tritanopia?

Blue-green colorblindness can just happen as you age.

Why the heck would Alex take Reggie to the place where Evrina works? Reggie and Evrina don’t get along at all, and Alex definitely knows that. (Though it would be hilarious if Evrina turns out to be the long-lost relative of the Boothes.)

Aw man thta last line hits too close to home. I’ve lost count of times people have mistaken me as some one who works in store, despkte at the time my chest and occasionally back had big letters stating “Security”. Glad I got out of that “customer service” job.

I worked at a secure mental health facility that required all of the employees to wear a photo ID badge. The badge went on leaving the house and came off after I was home. Wallyworld was a convenient stop on the way home after work. I lost count of the number of times people would ask me what aisle an item was on. I wasn’t even wearing Wallyworld blue. Just having the badge was enough.

I’m guessing “Megatainment Green” is the official company name for their shirts, and she’s saying it ironically.
Because there’s no green there.

Yeah, sort of confusing because it looks like a dark blue to me as well. As a side note the company Megatainment was based off of did have actual forest green company shirts, so maybe thats the reason behind the color name here?

The company that Jackie worked for in real life and which helped to inspire the comic had a sort of forest green as its corporate color.

Background in panel 1 is pastel green. Shirts do not look at all green, to me.

That said, I know from working with professional right-brained graphic arts people that I don’t differentiate shades of color very well. :D

Oof this is going to be that decade old “white+gold or blue + black” dress debate again.

To me it’s a very dark/saturated blue-teal.

According to the color picker tool, it is hex #004866, or RGB(0, 72, 102). Depending on who you reference those to gets you different names like: Indigo Dye, Ateneo Blue, Dark Slate Gray, Regal Blue….and it goes on and on and on the more one searches.

Carol makes the Megatainment uniform look good, not the uniform making Carol look good.

And yeah I thought they were blue too.
