Dammit, nina kills the fun again. But She’s supposed to be all about fun

Reading this through for the first time… I kind of have the feeling that Nina pushed for Carol + Thomas here to help make her Nina + Ed interest less dangerous. The more precedents there are for a rule being broken and not punished, the weaker the rule is. And Carol and Thomas seem like they have enough clout or presence to get away with it.

And Nina is also far more clever and observant/insightful than she lets on from what I can tell.

Stupid rule? When workplace romances work, they often cause problems for everyone else. When they don’t work, they often really cause problems.

OTOH, it’s not too hard for someone to quit and get another retail job if things do get sticky…
