803 Whose Line.

Today has been one of those days wasted trying to repair electronics.  There’s something wrong with the phone lines.  If you plug a DVR int to it they stop working.  Only actual phones work.  It’s apparently beyond my skill to repair, which annoys me to no end.  Tivo unfortunately doesn’t function well at all without the ability to connect to the mothership…

I nearly extended the scene with Wes and Thomas, but decided to use the dialogue elsewhere.  Partly because I think it will work better later on and partly because I didn’t feel like drawing them.  The Reggie and Jo scene is a lot more fun to read and to draw.

I edited several strips of Scott Kurtz’s PVP comics so that the would all be fart jokes, after seeing someone do the same thing with Garfield.  The thing is that not a lot of people I know actually read PVP, so when I showed it to them they couldn’t understand what I had done, because in many cases the jokes were still sound jokes.  They were just more funny to me because I knew how they were supposed to be.  It was very odd.  XD  anyway, if you haven’t seen it I stuck it in my DA scraps since Tumblr fucked the image file all up.  Here’s the link.

So he was getting drinks… hm… Why 3? Was he planning to give one to someone else or did he get two for himself? … Is the third drink to soften the blow for Thomas since they were doing something not allowed? … And if this is the case… was this Wes’s brainchild?…

Okay, I give up. Is that last line of Brooke’s a quote or something? Because for the life of me I cannot decipher its meaning. =(

Once again she is misusing Princess Bride quotes in a most dangerous manner…
Context is everything… and what she is trying to suggest Reggie say is THE second most loaded line in the entirety of The Princess Bride (the first one consists of a single word that everyone knows).
“As you wish”, besides simply being a statement of compliance, is the Lovers’ Phrase. It fills the same purpose in The Princess Bride as “Ditto” does in Ghost. It is the covert term of endearment.
Use of any established Lovers’ Phrase should only be attempted with extreme caution. Saying “As you wish” to someone known to quote The Princess Bride is as good as a proposal.

Unless Brooksie is really trying to “groom” Reggie into a love-slave, she really shouldn’t be getting him to use that phrase.

Well I don’t think you’ll catch too much trouble from the audience for having more Brooksie, and the only thing better than Brooksie is Brooksie quoting The Princess Bride again.

The customers are buying stuff in the panels we AREN’T seeing. Right now, as Jo is confronting Reggie, something is being paid for in Nina’s department.

Your dvr problem is probably water getting either into your phone line or somewhere along there in their box or something. I remember dvrs being really sensitive to phone line voltage changes, really sensitive. It might have fried.

Ahh Ok But Like I Said She Is There And Always Be There And She Will Always Be Back There There
For More.

They’d get a lot more done if he did his job rather than wandering off and forcing her to look for him.

That’s strike 2 for the Reggie and Wes team she’s even making it easy quoting from the same classic. I love that movie so much! Yay Jo! You are my blue haired ninja hero! ^.^

I only just noticed this, but your lettering has improved a lot since the first few times that you did it by hand. It was distracting at first and now it isn’t.
