Huh. I never considered it at length, but Nina has summed up the situation succinctly.
Fanfics are a funny business. F’rinstance, I think I wrote the only X-Files fanfic that didn’t have Scully and Mulder ending up in bed — together. It was a crossover with a series of stories I worked on a dozen years ago, but I (and a couple of X-Freak friends) thought it worked pretty well.
Sir, I do believe you’ve ruined Kingdom Hearts for me.
Yes. You’ve successfully summed up how I’ve felt about Kingdom Hearts all these years. I had been expecting an epic crossover story, weaving the stories of the Final Fantasy games with the various Disney stories. Instead, I got a new story with characters I didn’t care about, cameos from characters I DID care about, and Disney-themed platformer levels. I was extremely let down. Consequently, I’ve never been able to get that into the series.
I absolutely love the series and thank you for posting her reply. ^_^ She didn’t exactly say she didn’t like it. Lol.
