1852 Tits ‘N’ Tops.

Dog & cats, living together, mass hysteria!

Microsoft keeps fucking with their security measures, which are tied up with the drivers for the surface pen for some reason I can’t begin to fathom. Part of it was fixed, or at least they rolled it back, but it’s caused all kinds of weird glitches that can only be solved by closing programs completely & starting them over. Not as annoying as not working at all, but still pretty annoying.

Also, the title of this page is a very obscure reference to a very old site that, as far as I know, no longer exists. If any of you have ever seen it I would be very surprised.

Here I was hoping for some big reveal. I was hoping to see some s*** that would turn me white.

I’m not ready to loss.jpg my comic just yet.

Dang it Jackie XD

aaaannnnnd my computer just crashed …. issues with outlook …. oh it did an update in the background [its not supposed to do that] >_<

MiscroSoft's mission statement – Do Evil, it's profitable and fun

… in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes, and Microsoft software.

with apologies the Ben Frankin

Loss happened around 10 yeas ago – fuck, now I feel old. :/

I had to look it up, because I’d already booted CAD from my bookmarks for being ungodly bad by the time he did that.
I’m just glad it was a CAD strip that turned up instead of something truly vile. Heck, it was a CAD strip with no words, so it was EVEN MILDER than I was expecting.

Bwahahaha!

(Also, was Tits ‘N’ Tops like a non-nude erotic site with a lot of large breasts in tight shirts? Asking for a friend who thinks they might have gone to it when they were younger and single…)

to paraphrase….. thomas when some woman with big tits asks if she can move in with you.. you say “yes!”

Unless she plans to keep her top off for sixty years and has an impeccable family history regarding sun damage (the one true ginger line) and stretch marks, I’m not sure this is the best strategy.

My best friend is really wants to ask his girlfriend this, but he doesn’t want to end up in a situation where she becomes his roommate after a breakup. There is a BIG difference between fucking on the weekends and staying with someone day in and day out.

It’s a dangerous proposition.

It can be. Sometimes you have to just go for it. One of my favorite memories is when an ex lived with me. Sharing a quiet evening with a beautiful woman I was in love with was good. The relationship didn’t last and she moved out but still worth it for that moment.

A Windows 10 update earlier this year ruined many vital system files for me on my gaming PC. Not only did nearly every program give me an error when I tried to open it, including Steam, it gave me errors every time I tried to reinstall the OS or restore from backup. Couldn’t even get it to switch boot drives until I physically removed the original boot drive from the computer.

I lost EVERYTHING that I hadn’t already backed up.

that sounds like a Extreme solution to that problem, did you get your pc working again afterwards?

Glad my rig was spared that. I probably would have driven to Redmond with a trunk full of ammo and a couple swords for good measure. :-/

That will get you killed and still not stop the house of Clipy.

Now exothermic materials accidentally dropped onto the fiber backbone …. in multiple hard to get places …. now that would have them excreting masonry building materials

You know that when M!cro$oft got so bad that even Bill Gates had to quit, things were going to get ugly!

You would think that a company with a long history like micro$oft would have learned a way by now to not mess up systems with their updates but that doesnt seem to be the case…

The bigger an organization gets, the larger the potential for screwups because there’s less of a controlling mind behind any given thing. Intelligent structuring can alleviate a lot of it, but that’s much, much harder than it sounds.

You’d think after all these years its customers would have learned not to trust their precious data to Microsoft.

You would have thought that after all these years, people would have learned to not trust Facebook with their data. And yet, even after the whole, massive sh*tstorm that already happened, loads of people still don’t care.

Well, working for a software company that does a few things with Linux, Microsoft, Google and OSX –

Due to recent security problems regarding how all OS’es use memory for rendering and such, all of their patches (even the homegrown Linux stuff) have broken multiple machines at my work. Google being the worst, to be perfectly honest. Apple also broke a lot of their own devices with their recent security upgrade. Microsoft’s patching is strictly (at this point since 2017) about closing vulnerabilities. It is unfortunate that most software is not ready for those upgrades. However, we have a choice here. Either we make ourselves vulnerable to Meltdown and two other vulnerabilities that haven’t been discusses publicly yet, or we take our chances with your data. All these companies that make an OS for a device or desktop are thinking the same thing – they can sit by idly and let your data (well, the data of most people who don’t understand computers that well) fall into the hands of a few black hats, or they can try to be proactive and get a solution out now.

As for Steam, they were told what their software needed to comply to to work with the new security upgrades on all OS’es, and they did absolutely zilch until the last upgrade to compensate for it. They even came to us (the payment company that does their transactions) and blamed us for being security compliant, thus breaking their ability to accept certain bank payments. Valve – in my opinion – is the worst client I’ve ever worked with. If they are the major supplier for the PC master race, then I feel bad for the people who solely play games on the PC.

Too soon? I guess this begs the question, how much time has actually passed since the start of the comic?

That sounds like a project for someone who can put together a timeline.
To the wikimobile …..what do you mean we don’t have a wikimobile?
Do we have a wiki?
Reddit?
How about a BBS?
A whiteboard and coloured dry erase markers?
Post it notes, thumbtacks and string?
Chalk and the back parking lot at Walmart?

Re: MS’s nonsense; I can tell you from my own current job interfacing with my company’s Dev Team that what makes sense when you’re coding something often bears no relation with what makes sense to an end user. A good company has people who are “professional end users” of the product in question, who have to sign off on stuff before it goes out the door. (They typically have other jobs too.)

Many companies are not good in this respect. We’re trying to get this cycle established where I work, but it’s an uphill battle. :P

Were I Carol, I would avoid breaking out the big guns (as it were) in fear of Thomas later feeling resentful about being manipulated. Brave straight talk is what is required here. She should tell him in a reasonable fashion why she thinks it’s time. In any case, is Thomas really the freak-out type? I wouldn’t have thought so.

While perhaps not using it as the primary argument, I could definitely see ‘and for things you get more consistent access to, I submit exhibits A and B’, which his response being ‘those are very powerful arguments…’ or something.

Personally, I feel that while she’s kiiiiiinda rushing it a bit, there’s actually some real logic here. Cohabitation is a big step, however it is also, in my opinion, kind of necessary. You see, you really *don’t* truly know how they comport themselves on a daily basis until you start cohabitation. It’s best to truly understand this sort of thing before committing to a permanent relationship. If he’s got some personal habits you just can’t handle (I dunno… leaving clothes on the floor level sort of thing that just gets on your nerves), it’s best you know about it before making that level of commitment.

Living with someone for six months, with the understanding that at the end of the six months (with an early-release clause of course) the topic will be revisited would be no bad way to further build an already established relationship in the direction of marriage. It lets you see them at their worst as well as their best, to see if you really can handle ‘for better or for worse’.

In the last panel, Nina looks kinda bat-crap crazy, or scary to me.
But that’s just me.

I’ve probably seen THIS guy, too much:

[My apologies for the possibly insensitive, and/or stereotyped, attributes, that Disney’s animation company, put on this cartoon cat]. O.o
