Does that make Ed Master and Nina Blaster?

This would depend on what Ed is into. I get the feeling he’s too vanilla for leather cosplay.

Still, any excuse to put Nina in black boots…….

Pretty sure that he’s calling John “Blaster”…
…& that he’s depreciating himself, as the “Tina Turner”-character, just to take the sting out of comparing John to a “roided-out, retarded stooge” to Mike’s “Master”.

Hey Jackie! Would you please draw Jo, in [Mr.] Ironbars’ costume?
We’d love you forever! :D

Why is your love conditional?

Also, who is that?

*Looks embarrassed + bones up on my Gandhi books*
[You’re right. I should love all, equally + without conditions!] ;)

Ironbar, aka Iron bar, is the “Beyond Thunderdome” guy, who wears a pale mask…a mask with long, black hair, on some kind of [metal bar], on his back. He’s a fictional guy.

I think his photo is here- he’s the guy with the spiky, brass knuckles:

“Why is your love conditional?”

This was very abrupt/sudden/unexpected. I never seen such a yaw from a fan’s request to a serious talk about relationships and feelings.

It’s boring if you just answer in an expected way all the time.

It probably goes without saying, but- That was my understanding on Jackie’s comment: that he was doing a spoof of my saying, “we’ll love you forever”.

Such as- if I had said, “Cheers, and see you later”, Jackie could’ve replied with: [Cheers?…I like saying, “To the Queen”, when making a toast with my friends…], and things like that. *shrugs*

But it really shows you why dogs are better than people. I’ll take unconditional love over a conversation a lot of days.

Thomas is definitely Max, but with better fashion sense.

Now, to be fair, Max had a FAR more limited range of clothing-options…
…& those options all had to be combat-worthy, as well.

Nina: Listen all! This is the truth of it. Fighting leads to killing, and killing gets to warring. And that was damn near the death of us all. Look at us now! Busted up, and everyone talking about hard rain! But we’ve learned, by the dust of them all… Bartertown learned. Now, when men get to fighting, it happens here! And it finishes here! Two men enter; one man leaves.

(Tom and Mike with John on his back take their positions)

Carol: Remember where you are – this is Thunderdome, and death is listening, and will take the first man that screams.

I knew that new-fangled CD technology wouldn’t last.

Give me vinyl, the original way to listen to music.

You’re only sayin’ that ’cause you can’t remember Mr.Edison’s wax cylinders.
Now, THAT was some old-time Music-Tech, right-there.
(…mutters…)
These young whippersnappers nowadays, with their Rocks & their Rolls…
…& their Innersprockets – Intertubes – Fishnets – WHAT-ever-it-is!?!???
I’m just Sayin’ — Smoke-Signals were good-enough fer MY Gran-pappy, ‘n their good-enough fer ME!!!

Heh, heh, heh!

Yep! And also: pilot Eddie Rickenbacker, Glenn Miller’s swing music, and the Marx Brothers ‘s films, FOREVER! :D XD

It’s kind of interesting. Because of the pacing of the comic, it feels a little surreal with reality. Back in the beginning, Jess’ first appearance, she was forcing ed to buy her a justin timberlake CD, and now we are at CDs disappearing. It parallels with our world, but at the same, it feels like the CDs went to hell overnight in the comic-verse.

That’s exactly how it happened IRL. We had over 4k CDs one day and the next we had half that. They kept making them but we only stocked the most popular artists.
