I know, crocidile hunter and he gets killed by a like a sting ray how does that even work

Proof that when dealing with dangerous, deadly animals, you stick to what you know and tell your yappy producers to go f*ck themselves. THEY can stroke that stingray’s tail if they’re so keen on it :I
…sorry i’m bitter, but the guy had a kid ffs :(

Well, apparently Rally Racing Pro Colin McRae died in a helicopter accident… irony is a force to contend with!

He was called the “Crocodile Hunter”.

The animal was called a “sting ray”.

Animal was doing its job.

He was bigger overseas than he was here in Australia, for the most part. Yes, he’s considered a national icon, but he would place himself in dangerous situations when there was not always a need to. This isn’t bashing Steve Irwin at all, but more a case of pointing out that he’s more famous in death than he was in life down here, or at least for me anyway.

Killed by a stingray: probably not the way he wanted to go; but we don’t get to really choose the manner of our deaths unless we’re committing suicide or are condemned criminals in Monty Python movies…

Oh Steve Irwin… I still remember what I was doing, where I was when I heard the news., but I can’t remember the name of the person who mentioned it. I found it surreal to consider at the time.

I think the problem would be that he understood crocs. He tried to treat the stingray like a croc, not taking into account the environment he was in reduced his reaction time. Thus sting ray won. It was very sad.
